I can’t see the content of my gmail emails
This is a feature that is a bit hidden in the Gmail settings, so it’s easy to miss it even if it’s been there for a long time. You can decide whether you want a vertical or horizontal split, and also how long it takes for Gmail to mark the mail as read when you are viewing it in the preview.
Once you have activated this option, you have to scroll down to the bottom and click on the Save changes button to confirm that you are going to activate the preview pane. After clicking it, Gmail will restart and reload on the web. If you haven’t clicked it, when you continue browsing through the options or want to view the emails again, you will get a pop-up window asking you if you want to save the changes. You must do so.
When you activate the preview, you can also go to the General (1) section of the Gmail settings. There, you will see the Preview pane option with a Mark a conversation as read box (2), and you can set a time limit.
How to change the Gmail view?
We can change the view at any time.
To do this, simply go to Menu > Settings > General settings > Conversation list density. There the view selector for the inbox will appear again.
What is mail preview?
The preview consists of dividing the screen in two, so that when you click on an email you can read it on the other half of the screen without entering it, thus speeding up the reading. With this, you will be able to determine when you want the email to be considered as read once you have started to see it in the preview.

There are two ways to set the preview, which can be configured with a drop-down next to the Settings icon (the aforementioned gear). They are Horizontal Split and Vertical Split. In our opinion, the horizontal is the most suitable if you have a monitor that is not particularly large, since this way you are sure that you will not make problems of not seeing all the necessary content.
The vertical Division is the one that displays more data, so it is in our opinion more complete, but it has the risk of overflowing the sides if it does not fit the dimensions of a monitor (which, at least, is 17 inches). The fact is that, as always, it shows that Gmail offers more possibilities than many people think.
How to delete old emails from gmail
The people of Mountain View have announced that finally gives the option to users of the Gmail app to be able to change the so-called Conversation View, so that if you do not like it, you can have each of your emails in an individual list in your inbox.
This ability to choose how to distribute emails was already available in the desktop version, but now makes the jump to the Gmail app, thus being available to both iOS and Android users.
Some people might not yet see this option enabled in their app, as this is an update that, as almost always, is coming to devices gradually. In fact, at the time of writing, we have been able to test on an Android device (with Android 9 Pie), but not on a tablet with iOS. If you’ve waited until now, you’re sure to hold out a little longer. Patience.
Preview gmail android
By default, Gmail groups all our mails in conversations. When we reply or someone replies to an email, the reply is grouped showing the most recent message at the end of the conversation.
Well, this way of displaying mails in the inbox does not please everyone, there are users who prefer to see the mails in an individual list, without grouping them into conversations. And this is what the Gmail application for Android allows you to do now. We tell you how.
So far this feature was only available in the web version of Gmail, but now since version 8.7 we can also remove the conversation view in its official Android app. To do this we have to follow these simple steps:
Once the Conversation View option is deactivated the replies will stop being grouped, they will be displayed in the inbox as every new mail we receive. We may have to wait a few minutes to see the changes.
When we deactivate the “Conversation View” option both on the computer and on the mobile application, the changes will be effective on all devices. That is to say, if we deactivate or activate this option on the computer it will be automatically activated on our mobile, and vice versa.
