This is another significant advantage for webmail, as the task of sorting large inboxes is handled by a remote server, freeing up the local machine from the disk and processor intensive activity of sorting through potentially hundreds of thousands of previous messages to find the 9000+ unread. emails that are in the email inbox. This screenshot example may be a bit extreme, but even my personal email contains over 200 unread messages at a time.
Another option goes beyond sorting and searching the inbox, and actually prioritizes the Gmail inbox by message type, in this case, unread emails. With this option enabled, all unread messages will appear on top of read messages, regardless of when they were sent. For example, a message unread two weeks ago would appear above a message read 10 minutes ago. Activation is very simple:

This procedure will be useful in those cases where you have more than 50 unread emails, maybe several hundred or 2000, and you simply want to be able to select them all at once to mark them as read without having to go through pages to do so. It’s a lot simpler than it sounds, and you can do it in the Inbox as well as in any other folder.
When you choose All, the emails on the active page will be selected, but you will also see an indicator if you want to select all of them. What you have to do here, is to choose the option to Select XXX conversations from *Inbox, where in XXX you will see all the emails you have. In addition to the inbox, you can also do this in any other inbox.
When you click on the above option, absolutely all the mails you have in the selected band will be selected. Now, what you have to do is click on the Mark as read button that will appear in the list of options above the emails, with the icon of an open envelope. In case you have doubts, if you hold the button over the icon, the text of the option will be displayed.

Therefore, if you don’t want to search for unread emails page by page, there are some methods that allow you to view only unread emails.
Suppose you want to search for all unread emails between April 2019 and September 2019. The proper order is: “en: unread before: 09/13/2019 after: 01/04/2019”. All unread emails between these two dates will appear in chronological order.
If you want to find unread emails from a specific sender, try using this order: “is: unread from:[email protected]”. Gmail will only display unread emails received from the contact you entered.
