What is archiving in gmail for?

You may have heard about the ability to mute rather than archive an email. Both features will remove messages from your inbox to keep things tidy, but archived emails will return to your inbox if they get replied to.
If you want to activate an email conversation, follow the steps above, but select the Activate option in step 4. You will need to select Move to Inbox if you want the email to return to your inbox. Selecting Activate will activate the email, but leave it in All Mail.
How to unarchive an email in gmail
If you need to search by keyword, it is much easier than you think. If you want to search for a specific word, you write it in quotation marks. This way, it will search for the phrase or words in their exact order and not others. If you do it without quotation marks, you may get other results that do not match what you need.
Once you have done this, just hit search and you will get all the emails that meet the conditions you have set. You can do your tests to see what comes up and which ones take up more space.
