How to schedule a meeting in gmail
In this chapter, we are going to discuss Gmail and Calendar together since, in a business environment (also in a personal one), they are generally going to be used together. As a starting point, it is assumed that you are familiar with the basic operation of an e-mail system. There are other applications that are also used in conjunction with these, such as Contacts and Tasks, which will also be briefly introduced in this chapter.
Calendar is also a cloud-based Web service, similar to other traditional online or desktop calendars (such as Yahoo! Calendar and Microsoft Outlook). We can note in our calendar the dates and times of the events we have and invite other people. We can have several calendars and share the ones we determine with the users we decide, so that they can also include events in our calendars. In this way, group work is encouraged, in this case related to the collaborative planning and organization of events.

Events are stored online, which means that the calendar can be viewed from any computer with an internet connection, so if a user experiences a hard drive crash none of their calendar information is lost. There are also general calendars available for importing into the user’s account, such as holiday calendars from other countries or sporting event calendars.
On the page that appears we must fill in all the fields, below some fields there will be an explanation of what the requested data is for. Once we have filled in all the requested data, we click on Accept. Create my account.
We can also customize a view from the mini-calendar to show all the days we want, to do this, click on a start date and drag the mouse to the desired end date. For example, to display a view from May 19, 2011 to May 21, 20011, we simply click on the first date in the mini-calendar and drag the mouse to May 21. The view of the days will appear in the work area.

Many different events in your daily life flow through email. From airline tickets to car rental reservations to package delivery information, you receive a lot of information in Outlook that you may want to keep track of.
You can turn e-mail events on or off and choose what information is automatically aggregated through your Outlook on the Web or Outlook.com options. You cannot change e-mail events settings in Outlook for Windows, but a link to the Outlook on the Web or Outlook.com options page is included in the e-mail you receive the first time an event is automatically created.

Keep in mind that the contacts that receive the link to an event will be able to modify the name, date and time of the event, but the modifications will only be applied and visible in their calendar, leaving the original event in the same conditions it had when it was created.
Including links so that your subscribers can add your events/appointments to their calendar is a good way to make them keep you in mind and not forget to attend the events they are invited to.
