How to make emails arrive in a gmail folder
Once inside the Gmail app settings, click on General settings to go to the settings that affect the app regardless of the account to which the mail arrives. Here, click on the Default Notification Action option, which defaults to Archive. You will be able to change it to Delete, so that when you receive the email you can choose to reply and delete it instead of replying and archiving it.
When you get notifications to your Android phone, whether they are the application they are, you are also offered some options to manage them and organize the priorities of those you want to send you notification sounds or those you prefer to switch to silent mode of Android notifications.
To do this, you have to open the notifications panel of your Android when you get one from Gmail, and then keep your finger pressed on the notification. When you do this you will see several options, being able to give higher priority to the notifications of that application or switching them to silent mode.

Once we have installed Gmail Sender Icons in our Chrome browser, when we go to the Gmail inbox we will see how next to each received message appears next to the sender’s name an icon and the name of the domain or platform used to send the message. That is, if we receive a new email message from a site to which we are subscribed, we will see the icon of that site, specifically the favicon used by that website, along with the domain name. For example, if we receive a message from Dropbox telling us that we are about to run out of space in our account, we will see in the Gmail inbox an icon with the Dropbox logo along with the dropbox.com address.
You can view and sort conversations in Gmail as you like: you can search for conversations even if you don’t know the sender, view all emails from the same person or delete emails that have been received between two specific dates.
How to archive emails in gmail automatically
Keeping your Gmail inbox clean can be an overwhelming task these days. Instead of manually searching for old emails you want to delete or archive, you can set up a filter to do it automatically based on a selected time period. We’ll show you how.
You will see a warning that the terms you are using will not match incoming emails. However, you know this because you are looking for old emails, not new ones.
In the next field, you will choose whether you want to archive or delete emails. To archive them, select the “Skip inbox (archive)” checkbox. To delete them, check the “Delete” checkbox.
Once you set up a filter, you no longer have to worry about manually selecting, archiving or deleting emails in your inbox. The filter will do everything for you. But if you want to edit or delete a filter, you can certainly do so.
How to remove labels from gmail
To archive one or more messages, select the desired messages and then click the Archive button or press the A key on your keyboard. It is recommended that you select no more than 2,000 messages at a time.
You can configure the location of archived messages individually for each of your e-mail accounts. In ToolsEdit > Account Settings, select the desired e-mail account in the left pane and then select Copies & Folders. Use the Archive messages and Keep messages in section to set the desired location.
