How to create folders in gmail
In this post, we will see how you can better manage your Outlook email by having incoming mail automatically moved into separate folders. If you receive a lot of emails every day, this can save you a lot of time. Instead of having to spend an hour once a week moving emails from the Inbox to your sorted folders, email rules will help automate your inbox organization. This is very similar to using labels and filters in Gmail.
Email rules may seem complicated, and they can be if you really want to do sophisticated sorting, but if you simply want to move work emails to the work folder automatically, then it’s a piece of cake.
Then click on the specified word and go to the folder where you want the email to be moved or click New and a new folder will be created under the current highlighted folder.

Rules allow you to move, flag and reply to email messages automatically. You can also use rules to play sounds, move messages to folders, or display alerts for new items.
Rules are almost indefinitely customizable. There are a variety of options you can set for each type of rule you create. Follow the steps below to learn how to create a rule using the Rule Wizard.
On the second page of the Rule Wizard, you can add additional conditions to the rule. For example, you can select messages sent by a certain person that also contain specific words in the message body or subject.
On the third page of the Rule Wizard you can select additional actions on the message. For example, you can mark messages for follow-up and mark a message as of high importance.
On the fourth page of the Rule Wizard, you can add exceptions to the rule. For example, you can check except if marked as important to make sure that all messages marked with a specific importance level are not marked for follow-up.
Create a rule in gmail to forward mail to another account
Message filters allow you to configure Thunderbird to automatically organize your messages. Filters can move messages to folders, delete messages, forward them to other email addresses and much more.
When you receive a new message (when Receive new mail [default] is selected) – Filters are applied to new mail you have in your inbox. It can happen either before Thunderbird processes the mails as junk or after. If you have problems filtering the message body, select the subsequent sorting.
Automatic filters are only valid for the inbox, with the exception of archive and post-send filters, which apply only to messages that are involved in the archive or send action. Other folder types are not affected.
9. In the Message Filters dialog box, click the Run Now button if you want Thunderbird to apply the new filter to messages you have already received. The filter is automatically applied to all incoming messages after you have saved.
How to make emails arrive in a gmail folder
When you create an email folder, the new folder is inserted in alphabetical order in the parent folder. If you want to change the order of the email folders, you can drag and drop them in a custom order. In the Folder list, click and hold the folder name, and then drag the folder to a new location. You can drag and drop folders within a mailbox or Outlook data files (.PST) or between mailboxes and Outlook data files (.PST).
